Formed in 2023, Stark Sky is an acoustic country duo based in Alberta, Canada, featuring the talents of Mark Ferguson and Stacey Fedigan. Both Mark and Stacey embarked on their musical voyages at a young age as pianists, honing their skills through the prestigious Royal Conservatory of Music. However, their artistic journey didn't stop there; they further cultivated their craft by undergoing formal training as classical vocalists.

Despite their grounding in classical music, Mark and Stacey found their true callings in the rich tapestries of other music genres. Stacey was deeply influenced by the heartfelt narratives and melodies of country/folk icons such as Alison Krauss, The Chicks, and The Civil Wars, finding a resonance in their authentic and captivating storytelling. While Mark, on the other hand, ventured into the complex rhythms and innovative sounds of progressive rock, drawing inspiration from legendary bands like Rush and Yes.
