Stark Sky is an Alberta-based acoustic country duo blending heart, harmony, and a little edge. Formed in 2023, the duo features vocalist/multi-instrumentalists Mark Ferguson and Stacey Fedigan, two classically trained musicians who found their true voices far beyond the recital hall.

Both started out as pianists under the Royal Conservatory and trained as classical vocalists, but their musical tastes took them down different, equally passionate paths. Stacey was drawn to the raw honesty of country and folk icons like Alison Krauss, The Chicks, and The Civil Wars. Mark chased the bold, intricate sounds of prog rock legends like Rush and Yes. Somehow, it works.

After meeting at a music school in Airdrie in 2022, they started harmonizing—and haven’t stopped since. By early 2023, Stark Sky was born—a name that tips its hat to both their names and the endless Alberta sky.

Their setlist spans country, folk, and pop—with original songs woven in for good measure. They've hit stages at the Calgary Stampede, Inglewood Night Market, and the National Music Centre, where Stacey placed Top Ten in the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival Star Search. Stark Sky was also featured in the Fall 2024 edition of Airdrie Life Magazine.
